March 5, Thursday — Six women from Central and Northern Ƶ who have made remarkable contributions to agriculture and their communities will be honored at UC Davis during a luncheon and awards ceremony, to be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Activities and Recreation Center (ARC) Ballroom. The annual “Common Threads” program is sponsored jointly by the UC Davis College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and the Ƶ Agricultural Leadership Foundation. The keynote address will be delivered by Rita Schmidt Sudman, executive director of the Water Education Foundation. The event is open to the public, with pre-registration, costing $35 per person, due by Feb. 26. Registration at the event will be $50 per person.
